Recognising our Training for Success
20 January 2010
On 20 November 2009 we held a small awards ceremony at Clandeboye in recognition of all the hard work our trainees have done over the past year.
Barbara Boardman, Director of Conservation Volunteers gave a short speech before presenting the Essential Skills Certificates. Horticultural Certificates were presented by placement provider, Chris McDowell, a tree surgeon from MCD.
There were sixteen awards given out including Trainees’ Trainee, which was an award for the person that had worked extremely hard and was picked by the other trainees. There was also the Trainee of the Year Award!
Michael Cree, a former Trainee on Training for Success said a few words about his time on the scheme and then presented Mary Hamilton (now our Green Gym Project Officer) with a bunch of flowers as a thank you for all the hard work she had done with the trainees.
Everyone at Conservation Volunteers would like to congratulate the Trainees and we wish them continued success.
