New community project in Larne

Conservation Volunteers are inviting community associations in Larne to become involved in a short term environmental project.
The ‘Environments for All’ project is funded by the Larne Local Strategy Partnership and will run during August and September 2008, involving local people in environmental projects throughout the Larne area.
Suitable projects include:
- creation or maintenance of a small community garden
- cross community environmental educational activities
- physical improvements of local greenspaces, such as shrub and wildflower planting
- litter lifts and tidy-ups of public areas
Conservation Volunteers can provide:
- Advice and support for environmental projects
- Limited funding for materials
- Assistance with sourcing volunteer support
- Public Liability Insurance
