Make Green Gym your New Year's Resolution!

18 December 2008

Three people doing exercises

Will you over indulge this Christmas? Short days getting you down? Join the Saturday Green Gym to fight the blues and cut back those curves.

This practical conservation group meets every week and will help you keep fit whilst making new friends in a fun and friendly atmosphere as well as improving the local environment in and around Belfast.

It costs nothing!

The Green Gym sessions take place on Saturday mornings. Meet at Conservation Volunteers’ Belfast Headquarters at 159 Ravenhill Road at 9.30am.

We leave for the site at 10am and return about 2pm – although this may be earlier depending on the task.

All you need to bring is lunch and plenty to drink as well as warm, waterproof clothing and sturdy outdoor boots. Oh, and plenty of enthusiasm!

No previous knowledge is necessary as training will be given for specific tasks on the day. For more information please get in touch with Lindsay McManamon on 028 9064 5169 or email L.Mcmanamon@btcv.org.uk.
