Dig It and Eat It - on Saturday!
15 April 2010
The Saturday Dig It and Eat It! project was launched on 27 March.
Dig It and Eat It! is a food growing project with access to a dietitian. It is an allotment-based project where members of the public rent an allotment site to grow their own food.
Participants will take part in a workshop session on relevant tailored topics each week and will have the chance to put these techniques into practice with guidance from staff.
Growing your own has become very popular. This has been evident through the demand for the Saturday Dig It and Eat It! project. It is great to see so many people getting involved with their families and the environment.
The project will run for fifteen weeks at the Conservation Volunteers Northern Ireland’s Wildflower Nursery. The project is open to families and individuals and there is a demonstration plot for people to work on if they do not wish to have an allotment or already have their own.
