May Day this year saw three teams of people run and walk Belfast City Marathon to raise vital funds for Conservation Volunteers Northern Ireland.
Conservation Volunteers Northern Ireland will be having a charity Clay Pigeon Shoot at Burnside Clay Shoot, Ballyclare on Saturday 12 June 2010.
On 27 April families from Aghadowey, Ballysally and Killowen were helped to plant native trees and wildflowers by Coleraine’s Mayor Sandy Gilkinson. Not put off by the April showers, 45 families from Coleraine enjoyed making environmental improvements to brighten their area whilst having fun as a family.
Local volunteers joined Conservation Volunteers and the Connswater Community Greenway project to help improve the biodiversity of their local park last Saturday.
The Saturday Dig It and Eat It! project was launched on 27 March.
Dig It and Eat It! is a food growing project with access to a dietitian. It is an allotment-based project where members of the public rent an allotment site to grow their own food.
