St. Peter's High School, L/Derry

Date: 3 March 2008
No. of trees planted: 103
No. of people involved: 25
It was the turn of snow to welcome us in L/Derry. But we were warmer after a good cup of tea and, this time, a cake! And we were ready for work.
Ivan from our L/derry Office joined us, along with a team of people from White Young Green and 10 boys from the school.
We had 103 trees to plant – 100 small hazel, oak, rowan and birch and three big birch trees.
The adults helped the children (or was it the other way round), particularly to dig, which meant the trees were quickly planted around the playing field.
To finish off, everybody shared a good lunch – to help us recover from the exertions of planting of course!
