The Rascal Playstation Childcare Centre is a lovely house with a garden suitable for children. They already have lots of trees and even one apple tree planted by the Queen!
But they also wanted to have a plum tree so that the children can follow the growth of the plums and can eat them when ready. They also wanted to have a willow, so that they can make their own baskets and other things – a very active place this one!
When we arrived we got some tea while sitting on their little chairs at a little table. After which we got to work.
The 10 children helped us with their own plastic spades and rakes to plant the willow and the plum.
We were then invited to help the children build a birdbox. This was difficult because the wood was thick and they didn’t have a lot of good nails. Despite that, we finished it. A nice end to an enjoyable session.
