Landhead Primary School, Ballymoney

No. of people involved: 71
On a lovely, sunny February day, two of us set out to plant a mixture of Rowan and Birch between a fence and a football pitch at Landhead Primary School.
Small trees would have been at risk from footballs, footballers and lawnmowers, so we carefully planted larger trees, which were staked and mulched to give them extra protection.
The school wanted to illustrate the importance of trees and to enhance their grounds. The trees will provide some shelter from the wind – as well as providing valuable habitat for the local wildlife.
