Harryville Primary School are very lucky to already have some big trees in their grounds. They applied for trees to create a hedge to plant around a proposed garden.
The extra leap year day in February this year wasn’t the nicest day to plant trees. It was raining all the time and windy too. But the hedge had to be planted to start the wildlife garden.
We halped to dig the holes and each class planted small hawthorn and blackthorn plants.
At the end of the planting we had a nice hedge, tea and scones, dirty clothes and happy children!
