It was a cold day half way up the Belfast Hills… the wind whistled through the fence and numbed the fingers… then it started to sleet!!
Undaunted, our volunteers and a few hardy nursery children doggedly planted a mixed hedge along the boundary fence, with the distant hope that it would eventually provide some protection from that wind!
We returned at the weekend to finish off some larch pole edging to protect the hedge from lawnmowers and to mulch the hedge to give it the best possible start in life. It also simply made the hedge look lovely!
