Saturday 15th March 2008 was a really wet and cold day – typical of Fermanagh maybe? Not a great day to plant trees, but when we arrived at the Doonen Community Centre we got a tea to warm up and some lovely bread.
Unfortunately only one person was undaunted by the weather and turned up for the tree planting. But we started resolutely to plant the alder, guelder rose, spindle, willow, birch and holly in the stony and dark ground.
It wasn’t easy to plant the trees, but we made it!
