On a cloudy morning, with a shade of hope for the sun to shine, Conservation Volunteers Northern Ireland arrived at Donaghey Primary School.
Three groups of 20 pupils planted a hedge along the fence to a wildlife garden. The enthusiastic children had to struggle through many roots, but made it!
By the end, all the hawthorn, hazel and blackthorn were planted and we had the beginnings of a lovely hedge.
