Ballyclare Secondary School

Date: 9 March 2007
No. of trees planted: 11
No. of people involved: 6
On a cold but sunny day, we headed towards Ballyclare Secondary School for our second tree planting that day!
This was probably one of our quickest tree plantings so far, as we were joined by five boys who were all eager to show their tree planting abilities. We watched them plant one tree after the other. The boys were done in no time and we only managed to help them plant one out of the 11 trees! All the trees were planted very well!
Three big trees were planted in front of the school, and another eight were planted next to the school, parallel to their football field. It was a really pleasant experience, as the boys were all very friendly and hardworking.
After “our” hard work, we were invited in for a cup of tea and a biscuit (we don’t like to turn down any offer of hospitality!). We ended the day having our picture taken with the headmaster infront of one of the newly planted trees.
