To celebrate the millennium, the Scout Centre at Crawfordsburn had planted a copse of trees in the shape of an arrowhead. This mini woodland is now maturing nicely and needed a little bit of attention – some pruning and thinning. We came along to offer our assistance and to plant a few new trees in the gaps and at the back of the copse.
To say we were well-fed would be an understatement – scones, biscuits, soup and wheaten were all served to us! In fact, we found it difficult going back to work we were so full!
It was a grey day, but brightened immeasurably by the chit chat between everyone!
