Supporters Club for Businesses

9 October 2005

Representatives from Northern Ireland Electricity (NIE) came down to the Tree Nursery in Bangor in late September to receive a certificate celebrating their involvement in the Conservation Volunteers Northern Ireland Supporters Club for Businesses. Tanya Wishart, Transmission Project Engineer, NIE received the certificate on behalf of NIE from Anthony McQuillan, Director, Conservation Volunteers Northern Ireland.

The Supporters Club for Businesses in Northern Ireland is an opportunity for the business and commercial world to support community focused environmental projects across Northern Ireland.

Businesses that become members of the Supporters Club show they care about the environment and are prepared to say so. A strong body of support from the business sector helps to strengthen our case to bring about positive change, as well as giving our supporters a real sense of belonging in the local community.

Once you have become a supporter there are also many ways in which you can play a real part in the work of Conservation Volunteers Northern Ireland. Simple ways in which you could become involved include, running an annual volunteering day for your staff, attend a supporter
