On Saturday 26th November 2011, volunteers and staff from Belfast Conservation Action Team and Saturday Green Gym met at Grove Park, Shore Road, with members of the local community to build a willow tunnel in the park with the approval of Belfast City Council.

Although weather conditions on the day were horrendous, with stong winds and heavy rain, the event was a success.

The local community members said how much they enjoyed learning the construction process and seeing the tunnel completed.
