This week, the Belfast Conservation Action Team built living willow structures at two local schools: a dome at Fane St Primary School and a tunnel at Cavehill Primary School.
These structures were built as part of Ulster Cancer Foundation's Willows For Shade project, which aims to educate schoolchildren about the dangers of too much sun exposure, which can be a problem even in a damp Northern Ireland, and provide them with a leafy shelter to take shade in.
