The Ballymurphy Breathing Places project continued with an educational visit to Wildfowl and Wetland Trust site at Castle Espie.
31 children from St Aidan’s and St Bernadette’s Primary Schools enjoyed a range of activities including getting up close to creepy crawlies!
The visit was the third in a series of field trips organised to make the children more aware of their natural environment and to give them the opportunity to explore new habitats.
The children previously visited the Copeland Bird Observatory and Crawfordsburn Country Park and have been working to improve the biodiversity in their school grounds by planting native trees and shrubs.
