Priority Species
A number of species in Northern Ireland are struggling - their numbers have declined for one reason or another. These "priority species" are sometimes familiar, sometimes not, but all play an important role in our natural world. An action plan for each priority species has been created to ensure they are protected and to enable their survival into the future.
Species recording
You can help our understanding of where they live by reporting any sightings to us. We will pass those records to the Centre for Environmental Data and Recording (CEDaR). There is a link to a recording form on each of the individual species pages.
